At Oax Farm, dragon fruit is more than just a crop—it's a lifelong passion rooted in childhood memories, curiosity, and a commitment to growing some of the finest dragon fruit varieties available.
Founded by Wilfred Palma in late 2019, Oax Farm began as a small backyard collection in Port Hueneme, California. What started with a single dragon fruit plant has grown into one of the largest and most diverse collections of dragon fruit genetics, with over 450 varieties including established cultivars and countless new hybrids.
Today, Oax Farm is located at 3997 Bradley Road, Somis, California 93066, with an exciting expansion underway at 7082 E. Los Angeles Avenue, Somis, California 93066. The farm is also proudly partnered with Palma's Flowers and Produce, a family-owned business that shares the same dedication to quality agriculture.
Wilfred Palma
Wilfred's passion for dragon fruit began long before Oax Farm existed.
Growing up, he remembers climbing trees in his hometown to harvest wild dragon fruits. Those childhood experiences created a lasting appreciation for the fruit's incredible flavors and unique beauty.
Years later, everything changed when he received a single, unnamed white-fleshed dragon fruit plant. That one plant sparked an obsession to learn everything possible about dragon fruit cultivation, breeding, and genetics.
Nearly eight years later, that curiosity has grown into a collection featuring hundreds of varieties from around the world and an ongoing breeding program focused on creating the next generation of exceptional dragon fruits.
